I chose the name "Anam Cara" for my doula services because it reflects the heart of my vision. The phrase means "soul friend" in Irish, and describes a sacred, spiritual connection in which you feel safe to be totally yourself, free of judgment, and unconditionally accepted. With an anam cara, your heart can rest.

Birth is one of the most transformative experiences in a person's life, and it runs the gamut of colors: powerful, raw, messy. . . gentle, hilarious, untamed. . . soft, blissful, deep. I want to be there for all of it.

Come be who you are.

I trust in a birthing person's inner wisdom, in the sacred process of birth, and in your body's innate capacity to give life. You deserve to feel autonomous, in charge of your own choices, witnessed, heard, and tenderly held.
